Syl, there are no secrets about writing websites.
But on the other hand here are some pointers of having a successful website:
• The website has to be user-friendly, easy to use and fast to load
• Your button (main menu) to be text buttons instead of graphic buttons (improves your website rating in search engines)
• Have your website liked from other website in a text based link if possible (improves your website rating in search engines)
• Keep your website theme the same on all pages
After you have your website live on the internet you have to do your marketing as it would be a traditional business because a website by it self is not enough.
