Internet Explorer failure

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop with a Belkin wireless modem.Running Windows XP. Avast A/V Windows firewall.

Internet explorer is ceasing to operate after about 5/10 minutes. My ISP says there is no problem with the connection.

Can any one help. Cheers Neil

PS I have to keep this short or it will not send.

Hi Neil

Is your internet explorer crushing (closing the program) or is your internet just not responding?


Few other questions:
* Are you running windows XP service pack 2?
* What version of Internet Explorer are you running?
* Is your computer fully updated thru the Microsoft updates? (Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and click on custom to check for all the updates)
*Is your computer free of viruses/ Trojans or spy ware?
